David Baldwin, CPA®

Before realizing his long-term ambition of starting his own CPA firm, David gained expertise working as an accountant, auditor, and tax advisor for various manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, and media corporations.  David is a licensed CPA in North Carolina and South Carolina.  He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) as well as the North Carolina and South Carolina state CPA associations (NCACPA and SCACPA).  David is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.  David earned a BS degree in Financial Management as well as a Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAcc) degree from Clemson University.  With 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, and audit, David offers his firm’s clients a variety of tax and advisory services well-suited for individuals and small businesses in both English and Spanish.

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, David has lived in Hickory since 2004.  David is a member of the Hickory Foundation YMCA board, supports the activities of the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce, and teaches accounting, tax, and business law classes each semester at Lenoir-Rhyne University.  He also serves on the University’s business development advisory board.

After work, David enjoys being outdoors and walking 4 to 5 miles daily.  When he isn’t working on D-I-Y home improvement projects, David enjoys researching history, photography, and having lunch with his friends.
